2017 Highliner Pinot Noir
Santa Barbara County
Sta. Rita Hills AVA- 30%-Sanford & Benedict Vineyard, 14%- Rio Vista Vineyard
Santa Maria Valley AVA- 30% Bien Nacido Vineyard, 6%- Sierra Madre, 3%- Julia's Vineyard
San Luis Obispo County
18%-Quinta del Mar Vineyard
A Pinot Noir that has so much to offer! We combined many of the top vineyards we source from to create this truly stand-out wine. Drawing from the best barrels of the 2017 vintage, Highliner is made of mostly Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir with a splash from Quinta del Mar in San Luis Obispo for brightness.
The fruit jumps out of the glass onto your palate and gives a very juicy, ripe fruit profile initially. When you allow air to open the wine up, it will showcase layers of herbs, baking spices, and the smoky, savory qualities Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir is known for. Crazy smooth finish that leaves you wanting more.
2017 Kick-On Ranch Pinot Noir
Los Alamos Valley
Santa Barbara County
The lighter, drier side of the three Pinot Noir's in this allocation. Located in the cooler portion of the west end of the Los Alamos Valley, Kick-On Ranch showcases firm acid and the earthier, savory side of Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir. Very floral and dusty in the nose, the lighter, bouncier body drives into mushroom almost umami flavors, offset with bright acid and tart pomegranate. This is the wine you can hold onto in your cellar if you like, but now it is a perfect addition to a meal.
